The different parts of a tree include leaves, needles, buds, cones, flowers, branches, twigs, a trunk or stem, and roots. The tallest tree in the world can be found in California, USA. Additionally, California is also home to the oldest tree, which is over 4600 years old. Trees serve many important purposes. They help prevent erosion and provide materials for construction. People often cultivate trees for their edible fruits and nuts. Furthermore, trees play a crucial role in maintaining fresh air supply. They absorb harmful gases and release oxygen, which is vital for breathing. In fact, trees and other plants use this process to create their own food. A single large tree can generate enough oxygen to sustain four people for a day.
