38.2 Imagine that you are doing a project on why some Zetlanders are not keen on visiting museums. . You have found some data on the subject – the results of a survey (see the table below). Comment on the survey data and give your opinion on the subject of the project.

Write 200–250 words. Use the following plan: – make an opening statement on the subject of the project; – select and report 2–3 facts; – make 1–2 comparisons where relevant and give your comments; – outline a problem that can arise with visiting museums and suggest a way of solving it; – conclude by giving and explaining your opinion on the importance of visiting museums.

1. Looking at the figures of the table, it can be seen that other hobbies as a reason not to go to the museums was chosen by 51% of the respondents. Meanwhile, 7% of the Zetlanders questioned chose scarce variety of object presented as an excuse to not attend museums.
2. The most common reason, given by 51% of people, is that they prefer other hobbies. This means that people might enjoy other activities more than visiting museums. Another reason, mentioned by 20% of people, is that museums are located in places that are hard to reach. This shows that the location of museums is important for people to visit.
3. According to the table, the majority prefers to skip visiting museums because they have other hobbies. Meanwhile, scarce variety of objects presented was chosen by the least number of respondents as a reason to not visit exhibitions.
